Cognitive abilities and brain size in red-backed shrike

Joanna T. Białas (Woźna)

principle investigator

The aim of the project is to show if and how brain size is related to cognitive abilities such as habitat selection, innovative behaviours, and foraging behaviours.

Current knowledge of the inter-individual differences in brain size and its influence on cognition is really poor and limited to only a few articles.

The ongoing project is conducted in the farmland area of Western Poland and financed by a grant from National Science Centre NZ8/00822
