Capture-Mark-Recapture in MALLORCA!
During last week, Zuzanna and Alejandro have participated in Capture-Recapture course, organized
by Animal Demography and Ecology Unit, at IMEDEA, Esporles, Mallorca.
The course was led by top scientists and experts in CMR, dr Giacomo Tavecchia and dr Ana Sanz.
The course contained this sections:
-theory-based introduction to ecological modeling,
-estimation of survival, population size, dispersion, and recruitment,
- followed by many exercises.
Around 20 people have participated, mostly PhD students and postdocs, from UK, Spain, and Italy.
Zuzanna and Alex learned a lot, but still a long way to Capture-Recapture Analysis to be done!
