Cognitive abilities and brain size - is there any link?

Here we come with some results of the National Science Center funded project on Red-Backed Shrikes (see Project tab for more)!

Although there is no evidence for the link between brain size and innovatiness or nest concealment, there is link between the day of laying firs egg anf female's brain size. Our study shows, that big-brained females tend to lay eggs later in the breeding season.
